After a couple of days of “normal”, aka cooking meals, working, laundry, etc. Squirrel got a little bored (naturally). Add to that the election (don’t even get me started. I stayed up all night watching CNN and worked myself into a right frenzy), and I was desperate to get out of Dodge and into nature.

A couple of hours on the Interwebs turned up a great walk just an hour or so away–the Caminito del Rey in Ardales. The website is worth a few minutes, if only to look at the pictures and laugh at the hilariously bad English translations. It is surprisingly light on actual logistical information considering the number of pages there, but eventually I was able to find the booking engine and secure two spots for this morning.

Drew’s photos are better able to show the incredible scenery we encountered, so I won’t even try to describe it. Suffice to say that I felt cleansed and much happier after just a couple of hours there. #MotherNatureFixesEverything.
